Bring your camera and festive outfits! MRCPL has created a beautiful backdrop for your family holiday photographs. Our holiday backdrop will be available in the 2nd-floor lobby at the Main Library during regular business hours. Take your phone or camera to the Learning Lab to receive your free 4×6 photo. 

Photos with Santa
Bring your camera and the family for a visit with the jolly ol’ elf himself!

Christmas at the Cabin!

Families, join us at the historic Pugh Cabin at Malabar Farm. Bring the family for a holly-jolly good time! Enjoy holiday cheer all around with a cozy fire, stories, songs, crafts, and a visit from Santa!

Light Up Lex!                            Mon. Dec. 2, 5-8 PM
Families, swing by the Lexington location during Light Up Lex to check out a holiday book or movie and participate in our festive activities!

Join us as we welcome our friend from the North Pole for a story and bring a camera for a photo opportunity. Treats will be provided.

Diamond Art: Ugly Xmas Sweater Edition
Grades 4-12
Teens, the holidays are right around the corner; this sparkly masterpiece will be the perfect shimmery surprise for someone special or just the thing to bling up your space. In-person only and takes a tad over an hour.

Gingerbread Houses
Our sweetest program is back! Join us to create your own gingerbread house! All materials provided. Call your location to register, and please sign up for only one program.

Countdown to NOON Year’s Eve!

Ring in the New Year with us at the Butler, Lexington, Madison, or Main locations. We will celebrate with crafts, games, music, and of course, a New Year’s countdown! Call your location to register. (Registration is not necessary for this program at the Main Library.)

Nerfin’ in the New Year!               
Tue. Dec. 31, 1-4 PM
Grades 6-12
Back by popular demand – join us for an afternoon of “nerf” ing. We will provide everything. This is a drop-in program, so pop in when you can!

Participants must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian before joining the fun. Download the waiver at the button below, or complete the waiver in person at the event.
