We can put together lists of materials on a particular topic for groups. Contact the Children’s Department at 419-521-3130 or your local branch at least one month in advance to request a book list.
These hands-on, interactive kits are available for check out. Each kit includes a variety of books, educational DVDs, music CDs, games, activities, and hands-on fun! Here are the kits currently available.
Discovery Kits check out for three weeks just like juvenile books and can be put on hold and renewed if no holds exist. You can find the Discovery Kits in the Children’s Department at Main Library or place a hold through our catalog or library staff.
Teachers who live or work in Ohio are eligible for a teacher card which allows extended checkout and certain privileges.
These enrichment programs will enhance your students’ understanding of lessons taught in the classroom. Call your local library at least three weeks in advance to schedule a program.
The library has several research databases available on our web site that can be used to find valid resources for assignments or lesson plans right from school or home. Information from magazines, journals, newspapers, reference books, and even test prep sources can be found. You will need your library card number to access these databases.
