Are you an adult who didn’t complete your high school diploma? The CareerOnline™ High School (COHS) may be just what you’re looking for. It’s an online learning program that offers a second chance at achieving an accredited high school diploma, available through your library at no cost to you.

If you:

  • Are a resident of Richland County
  • Are at least 21 years of age
  • Have an M/RCPL Library card
  • Have previously completed schooling through at least 8th grade

then you are eligible to apply for a library scholarship and enroll in the program.

To qualify for a scholarship, applicants must fill out an application on our website, successfully complete a two-week prerequisite course and meet with the library’s COHS program managers.

The CareerOnline™ High School program is accredited by:

  • Cognia Accreditation Commission
  • Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and school improvement (SACS CASI)
  • North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI)
  • Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC)

COHS has a College Entrance Examination Board (CEEB) code of 102450. This code allows students to find the school on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) website if they wish to take their education further after obtaining their diploma and applying for federal aid.
