Haaaaaappppy Teen Read Week, Bits and Bramblers! That’s right, it’s an entire week set aside just to celebrate TEENS and READING, so…what’s not to like?

This year’s theme is “IT CAME FROM THE LIBRARY,” which is pretty appropriate, don’t you think? You know, since it is October, when we start thinking of scary stories. And trust me, there are some pretty awesomely creepy stories lurking around every corner at your library. Seriously… (*scary ominous tone*) you never know WHAT you’ll find at the library. There are endless possibilities. (*evil laugh*)

So be sure to visit your faaaaaavorite library location this week, and find out see what we have in store for you. It’s terrifying…it’s mesmerizing…IT CAME FROM THE LIBRARY!

Are you feeling nostalgic, Bits and Bramblers? After all, another Teen Summer Library Program is nearly over. So many of you have registered, earned awesome prizes for reading, and you’re eagerly awaiting the grand prize drawing to see if you won a Kindle Touch. Good times, Bits and Bramblers. Good times.

But you know the best part? It’s not over yet. If you haven’t read your 1000 pages, you have until July 28th to turn in your entry forms at your faaaaaaavorite library. And you know what else is awesome? If you haven’t registered yet…technically, you can still finish sign up and finish–assuming you can read 1000 pages by JULY 28TH (and it anyone can do it, Bits and Bramblers, you can. So…you’ve nearly read your 1000 pages for the Teen Summer Library Program, right?! I mean, over 700 of you signed up in the first which, which is just…made of awesome. Now…if you haven’t signed up, I won’t lecture you (much, anyway,) but I will remind you that you can register at your faaaaavorite library location. You read, you earn cool prizes. What’s not to like?) If you’re still working on those 1000 pages, I can help you out. In fact, I’ve got a great way for you to knock exactly 304 pages off that total.

Haaaave you read This Dark Endeavor? Now, I’m not going to lie…the book is pretty dark, and if you’re squeamish, there are a few pages you might want to…skim through. It’s the story of Victor Frankenstein, and his twin brother, Konrad. Aaaah, that’s a familiar name, right? Frankenstein? Well, this is a prequel to the classic Mary Shelley novel. In it, you’ll learn how Victor Frankenstein became…well…Victor Frankenstein (and you’ll be ready when the book’s sequel, Such Wicked Intent, comes out at the end of August!)
