The Green Book: The Everyday Guide to Saving the Planet One Simple Step at a Time
by Elizabeth Rogers and Thomas M. Kostigen
“Going green” can be both difficult and easy. Some people may not know how to be green. The Green Book has many different stories from celebrities like, Justin Timberlake, Tyra Banks, Jennifer Aniston, Will Ferrell, Cameron Diaz, and many more. They talk about how they are helping the environment. This book also gives many easy tips on how to help the environment. It is also a New York Times Bestseller. Reading this book will most likely give you a different perspective of things that we take advantage. Since I have read this I have found myself making changes and hopefully you will too. Some of the tips shared in this book are to turn off all lights in a room that you are not physically in, throw gum away in the trash instead of putting it under a desk, and use semi- or demi- permanent hair coloring.
Did you know that the average American chews 196 sticks of chewing gum each year? That amount of gum can stretch out to a total of four miles wide and six miles long!
