Be a Friend

The Friends Evergreen Book StoreFriends of the Library help to provide special programs and events like the Summer Library Program for kids.  They raise funds by hosting a monthly book sale at their Evergreen Book Store located on Walnut Street.

You can help by donating books, volunteering at the sale, or by simply becoming a member.  It only costs $3 to become a member, and it gives you first crack at the books every month at the Members Only Special Preview on Thursday afternoons before the sale.

The NEXT FRIENDS SALE: Friday, November 6 from 10-2 PM & Saturday November 7 from 10-3 PM

Sit! Stay! Read!

Dogs Love to be Read ToChildren in grades 1-6 who want to improve their reading skills can practice with a friendly dog at 3 locations of the Library.  These therapy dogs love to be read to so kids can bring their own favorite books or read a Library book to Walker, Rupy or Lilly at Ontario, Bellville or Main.  Sit, Stay & Read is scheduled in 15 minute sessions so call for times and reservations.
